Turgo turbine is one of the impulse types of turbine. It is suitable for 20 to 300meter head. The jet center from the nozzle has a 22.5 degree angle with the runner rotation plane. Merits of Turgo turbine include relatively bigger discharge capability, even efficiency curve, simple structure, reliable operation, easy maintenance, and low cost, etc.
